Who we are ?

Synertronic Designs is a company based in the beautiful university town of Stellenbosch, South Africa. The company was founded in 2003 and was initially involved in the development of pulse power supplies for gas discharge and gas laser applications.

Besides pulse power supplies, a need for novel switch-mode power supplies (SMPSs) was identified. The company started shifting its focus to SMPSs for highly specialised applications ranging from pulsed DC power supplies for sputtering applications to high-current supplies for sintering applications.

Due to our experience in both digital and analogue electronics and software engineering the company started providing design services in other areas as well.

We are passionate about our work and technology is not only considered as a science, but also as a form of art.

What we do the best ?

Our main focus remains with switch mode power supply development and we are specialists in pulse power supplies for high-voltage and/or high-current applications (e.g. excitations circuits for CO2 gas lasers).

We have extensive knowledge of magnetic component design and modern power supply design techniques for reduced EMI and improved efficiency.

However, what we do best is turning your ideas into products. We are prepared to provide the necessary assistance on the, sometimes, difficult road of product development and manufacturing. Not only in the field of power supplies, but also for general electronic product development.
